GALAA MISSION STATEMENT

We recognize the importance of educational leadership in setting the climate on our campuses. As advocates for a diverse and pluralistic society, we as administrators and educators must step forward in a leadership role as the voice for our LGBTQ students and families.

LGBTQ youth are the least recognized and most vulnerable at-risk group on our campuses; therefore it is our responsibility as District employees to establish safe campuses where LGBTQ issues and concerns are an integral part of the school environment.

We believe that proactive steps are needed to fight the silence and invisibility in which divisiveness and marginalization persist.
